ARTLAB BODY AND VOICE Instinctively, when we talk about the body (understood as the theatrical body), the mind refers to mime or dance, disciplines in which artistic expression is entrusted to the "physical language", without the aid of words. A bodily movement is a thought. A thought is also expressed physically. This theater workshop is a space dedicated to self-education, practice and, although it is based on a whole series of exercises and games aimed at the knowledge of the "body", it has a deep connection with the voice, since it starts from the principle that the human being is a whole. The intention is to strengthen, highlight and become aware of a fundamental concept, namely that it is difficult and limiting to express oneself without the help of the body. INTENTIONS In the struggle of the body against the world, the senses suffer. You begin to see little of what you look at, feel little of what you touch, hear little of what you listen to. In everyday life, we listen, feel, and see according to our specialization: the body adapts to the work it has to do. It is therefore necessary to re-harmonize the balances so that as many messages as possible can be sent and received. To this end, one can start from the fact that, before "learning", before knowing how to "do", one must first know how to "not do", to make a tabularasa of one's automatisms or the apparent familiarities connected to the idea of expressing or staging "oneself". Already the simple need to "awaken" one's body and voice places the individual in an inevitable context of specialist "training" through which the "self" is transposed into a stage identity. The training proposed is a guided path (of de-specialization) in communication and body awareness, addressing principles of physical exercise such as segmentation, rhythm, impulse, plastic-dynamics, action-reaction, quality of energy, improvisation exercises. The vocal part of the work is characterized by themes such as: body-voice relationship, vocal improvisation and rhythm. EMOTIONAL BODY Consciously experiencing external space contributes to the affirmation of a secure "internal space". The acquisition of a positive self-image is closely interrelated to the appropriation of the spatial dimension, of the "outside". At the base there is a careful disposition to enter into relationship with things and people in an active and accurate way, to observe and to observe oneself. This requires active listening and suspension of judgment towards oneself and others. Starting from the body to feel everything, welcoming it without being overwhelmed by it. Becoming better.
